Sparkles described them as "vegetarian meatloaf," and that's totally what they are. I threw in a little of all of the kinds of nuts and dried fruit, so it's like a trail mix bar.
I would do them again and keep it a theme, like cherries and pecans or something. And I would maybe add chocolate chips. George says I add chocolate chips to everything. I don't think that's a problem really, more of a personality trait.
When these bad boys were done, I decided to pretend like I had not read Sparkle's post on them being 300 calories. I cut myself a nice big slice as a snack, brewed a cup of tea, and watched a few more minutes of Project Runway.
It takes me about 4 naps times to get through one episode. I am possibly the least fashionable and crafty person ever, but I have watched every season of this. I love what these folks are able to do and I love watching the creativity in progress. I don't really like the drama, which I think they have focused on more as seasons have gone on. Oh well. The bars were yummy, and the dresses made out of Hallmark cards were amazing. I'll see who won during a nap time today.
