I love okra and almost forgot why I bought it at the farmers market last week. We eat it a lot and I was excited to try this new way. Also kacie said mandolin and I was excited to try to slice it with that bc I forgot I had one of those. And I was having a lot of fun slicing away while someone out side starting blaring their horn. I was like: second night in a row someone is honking over and over-why do people in Roswell honk? Five minutes later: wow still honking, must be picking someone up for the night shift. Ten minutes later: lots more blaring honking- maybe a kid is playing in a car- maybe he's trapped, maybe I'll make Jason go investigate. Then I finish slicing the ocra, potatoes and onion and the honking has not stopped, Jason's not home yet, it's almost 15 minutes now and I am over it. I go out and my favorite neighbor who is also the Publix aprons guy that cooks and passes out samples ( I like their recipes so much) is out there asking Honkey Mc beeperson if she needs some help and she's yelling at him to get the F away from her car and then yells at me- "B walk away- I'm not bothering you B" and to keep walking my white ass down the street.
*Say this with the actual cuss words when you read it with 'tude.
I was like, "I'm pink, not white but thanks for the instructions- I have your tag 1deanna fulton. Peace out -back to my mandolin. "
She drove away and I threw this in the oven for about 55 minutes. It is really delicious and we will probably make it a lot. It's really in the breakfast section but makes a great dinner, too. It's too much work and time for me for breakfast.
1deanna Fulton tag hopefully went home and ate some vegetables, too.
I hope that Kacie's white ass will make this soon.
