Saturday night clearly means a party since I knocked out three recipes.
The burgers had great flavor. They tasted different from most other veggie burgers I've eaten--which is saying a lot, because I eat plenty of veggie burgers. The consistency made them impossible to flip while baking. There was a lot of crumbling, BUT those crumbles got gobbled up pretty quickly.
The roasted potato salad with fresh herbs was outstanding. I doubled the recipe, because it just didn't seem like enough for the amount of time it would take. I'm glad I did! We both ate a ton, my mom had some, I had some for lunch today, and there is another serving left. This is SO much better than classic potato salad. This is a recipe I will visit again for sure.
Basic Thug Kitchen Vinaigrette was yummy. I took all of the options to make it garlicky, and that it was.
We basically decided to eat this as a giant salad. It didn't feel like it needed bread and classic tasting burger options, so we just put the patties on some romaine with tomatoes and some shredded cheese.
If you don't have smoked paprika it really is dope like they say in the roasted potato salad recipe. Were they really done in 25 minutes?
ReplyDeleteSo smoked paprika is not necessary, but after using it a few times, I'm sold on its tastiness. Worthwhile addition to the spice cabinet.
ReplyDeleteWAY more than 25 minutes. More like an hour--normal roasting time. Maybe if I cut them much smaller it would have been more like 25 minutes.
